Debra Pharoah: Cedar Garden Items, Hand Made Pottery
Woodworking and gardening are two interests that Ron combines nicely to produce outdoor garden products.  After purchasing a small sawmill, Ron and Debra began landscaping their country acreage with a workshop, decks, gazebo, arbours, and planters, working mostly with local white cedar.
Ron takes a log, mills it, and then makes a variety of wares.  They do some traditional items such as arbours, muskoka chairs, planters, as well as more unique items such as obelisks, patio trolleys, folding grill tables, potting benches, etc.
Ron’s carpentry skills are used when building screened gazebos and summerhouses. He comments that people usually want one initially to sit and relax in to get away from the sun and bugs, but soon realize that they now have a wonderful place to eat many of their meals in and enjoy their outdoor space at the same time.
Debra is the face you see at the market and this is their second season.    She is happy helping customers learn more about the products and finding out about the home a piece may be going to.  She especially enjoys the atmosphere at the Flesherton Market and finds the weekly ‘special events’ an added interest for all to enjoy.
