IT”S UNANIMOUS !

No matter who you speak to, our second annual car show was a great success.

The absolutely beautiful weather brought out the cars and the owners to SHOW-SHINE -AND SHOP THE MARKET.  34 Beautiful ‘Oldies’ were on display in the grassy field adjacent to the market, and people were continuously passing back and forth in front of the registration tent, either going to shop at the vendor stalls, or returning to their cars with bags full of fresh produce, baked goods, plants, and crafts.  Market attendance was definitely up as both car owners and the public took advantage of the gorgeous sunshine and cooling breezes.  Hits from the 50′s and 60′s were played continuously throughout the day (except for a couple of pauses when we blew a fuse).  Everyone was walking the field trying to choose their favourite, and the owners looked forward to the draw prizes which were called out every half hour.

At the end of a terrific fun filled day, Dale Goodfellow of Williamsford walked away happy, having won both one of the draw prizes earlier in the day, as well as the award for the peoples’ choice, marking his 1966 Ford T-bird convertible as the the peoples favourite. Heather and Al Hay, from Owen Sound also had a good day, taking home the owners’ choice award, meaning that their 1954 Ford Sunliner Convertible was the car chosen by all the other Owners, as their particular favourite. (Quite an accomplishment).

All in all a great day was had by everyone, with lots of fun.  If you were there, don’t forget to come back next year; and if you missed it, mark it on your calendar for next year as ONE EVENT YOU MUST ATTEND !!!!  That will be on SATURDAY JULY 9, 2011.                       the next
